Gorenje has developed a product, which saves money and contributes to a cleaner environment. The heat pump is energy-wise one of the cheapest ways of sanitary water heating.
It is installed on a water reservoir. It takes the heat from the air and with additional electrical energy, heats the sanitary water to a temperature of 55°C . Heat pump features a system for thermal disinfection for legionella prevention. The system operates automatically, switching on the high temperature (65 °C) every 14 days. An additional quality of the heat pump is its capability of cooling smaller cellars and storerooms.
For operation of the device (the compressor and the ventilator), 30% electrical energy should be provided, while 70% of the energy is taken from the surroundings (free of cost).
Investment in comparison to fuel oil or gas is returned in a few years.
Simple, subsequent connection of the heat pump to the already installed combined KGV water reservoir is also possible.
